Tech Tuesday #1: Wordle
The image to your right was created on a website called wordle. You simply go to the site and go to the create tab. Then find any arangement of words or lyrics and put them in to the text box. I choose to include one of my favorite songs " I wont give up" by Jason Mraz. After pasting your quote into the box you hit the "go" button and if you have done everything correctly you should have your collection of jumbled words appear on your screen. From there you can change the font, language, colors, and the arangement of the words. As complicated as it looks and sounds. It is quite simple to use, and it looks great in the end.
Tech Tuesday # 2: Vooki
I found Voki very easy to use, for me and for many other people. I can see Voki being used in a classroom setting by a teacher. I feel as if it would be used for when a teacher is absent and had a substatuite who may not be very sure about the subject at hand. The teacher could record his or her voice saying what the students needed to do, such as copying down notes specific notes the teacher already recorded themself reading. I think this is a very effective and cool way of jazzing things up with some technology. It's impressive without being too difficult to be able to accomplish.
Tech Tuesday # 3: Prezi
Prezi is a very different way to give any presentation with some spice! You can change your boring powerpoint of just meaningless slides into a well organized, creative, and smart way of getting the point across without losing the focus of your audience. This can be done woth little or no ease. The website is essentially suited for large bussiness corporations in need of sealing a deal between cororations. But van anlso be used within classrooms by teachers, and many more idtructors of other forms. Prezi is very beifical if you are afraid that your presintation is to dull or boring. It adds a little jazz with out even having to change or add anything to your powerpoint. Just the way you present it. There are only a few limitations to using Prezi. ______________ I feel that Prezi is a very useful and creative way to do something that has been around for a long time, but better! It's just like any other powerpoint but it has a more creative spin to it! Even for those without much of a creative bone, This neat presentation can still be a hit!
